Majura Valley lambs are raised sustainably on our property in Canberra on a 100% grass-fed diet, free of antibiotics or any hormones. We pride ourselves in providing the utmost care to livestock and the environment. Raised in paddocks along with our free-range hens, the sheep are part of our mixed farming and rotational grazing ethos that benefits animals, plants and soil.

Ethical considerations are foremost in our minds. We allow the lambs to grow until they reach their market weight which can take anywhere between 3 – 12 months. Our lambs travel a short distance to the closest abattoir in a small group, helping to keep stress to a minimum. Not only does this preserve the well-being of the sheep, but it results in tender meat.

The lamb is hung for several days to absorb maximum flavour and produce tender, succulent cuts. Prepared by Bungendore Country Butchery, Majura Valley lamb is skilfully butchered and sealed into meal-ready portions that fit easily into your fridge or freezer. Online price indicates $50 deposit of the total estimated half lamb box (pending the weight of your specific pack). The invoice for the remainder is due on pick up.
